MUSIC FEST SENT LISI 2024
DEC 22, 2024 – LIVE AT THE PHILIP MARCELLIN GROUNDS, VIEUX FORT

The 21st annual Music Fest Sent Lisi (Youth Fest) was held on Sunday December 22nd 2024 at the Philip Marcellin Grounds, Vieux Fort from 3PM to 9PM.Thanks to the unwavering support of the National Lotteries Authority, St. Lucia Tourism Authority, Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture &Information, The Windward Islands (WINERA) Packaging Company, St. Lucia Electricity Services, St. Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority and several other sponsors and supporters.

 

Young and established St. Lucian Artistes, Infrastructure Providers, Patrons and others collaborated in ensuring that Vieux Fort and St. Lucian talent was showcased in a Family environment of peace, goodwill and fun with positive messages.
 

In November Twenty Young Artistes under the age of 30 were selected by a panel of judges from audition clips to compete at the Semi-finals for the Youth Star Contest, a pillar of the annual Music Fest Sent Lisi. The finalists who competed on Sunday 22, December 2024 in the various musical genres were; Joshua Hippolyte, Kyle Henry "42K", Denzel St. Marthe "Travo Da Khemist", Daniel Annius "D West", Devon Malcolm "Chap”, Richard Shorn Peter, Kevin Joseph " Bronxx", Lyleton Lisson "Mata", Vince Joseph "Vic Nation”, Rohan Bennett "Sir MK" and Enisha Stanio, Keshawn Charles "Al the Artiste”. Vince Joseph stage name “Vic Nation” emerged as the YOUTH STAR 2024, while Rohan Bennett “Sir MK” and Keshawn Charles “Al the Artist” tied for second place. The winners were presented with their prizes on January 18, 2025.

The dance group Moves for Dayes entertained patrons with their exciting and innovative dance moves. Many of St. Lucia’s young and emerging singers were afforded the opportunity to showcase their talent and versatility. Included in the line-up were: Kisha, Dhirv2Funny, Tension Crew, Imran Nerdy, Sly, Ricky T, Zionomi, Alley Kyatt, 10. Pong, A1 Jugglers, Susie P, Junior Calypso King Kenyan Osman and Schreffler Maxwell. The Invasion Band provided backup with sound reinforcement from Boomshell Soundz International.
 

The Philip Marcellin Grounds was graced with many teenagers, children and seniors displaying their confidence in the safety of Vieux Fort while having an enjoyable time.
The unfortunate incidents in recent years continue to have negative effects on attendance of Events at the Philip Marcellin Grounds with several key financial, commercial and other stakeholders avoiding the area. As a result, the attendance by adults was less than anticipated. However, the commitment of the agencies responsible for Youth, Tourism, Creative Arts, and other key stakeholders speaks well for the development of the future of Vieux Fort and its residents.
Music Fest Sent Lisi will be rebranded in 2025 to endorse the new opportunities and significantly enhance the promotion of St Lucia’s young, emerging and established artists. The successful hosting of the event was made possible by contributions from various sponsors, including:

OBJECTIVES OF MUSIC FEST SENT LISI

AN ANNUAL FAMILY EVENT THAT AIMS TO:

  • Showcase, promote and develop the musical and related talents of aspiring St. Lucian Artistes focusing on the Youth.​

  • Utilize the talents, contacts and influences of St. Lucian Artistes to inspire visitors to the "Helen of the West" a world-class destination offering exciting experiences.​

  • Provide promotional opportunities for organizations and businesses to market their services and products, exhibit their corporate social responsibilities and connect with Artistes. the Youth and Families and develop brand loyalty.​

  • Provide an opportunity for artistes, community, stakeholders, NGO's and the business sector to collaborate with Youth and develop viable linkages while reaching out to the society with positive messages.​​

  • Showcase performances in the areas of Lucian Folk Music, Gospel, Dennery Segment, Dancehall, Reggae, Kaiso, Soca, Hip Hop, R&B, Emerging Genres, Dancing and DJ Mixing.

YOUTH STAR CONTEST

Ten Artistes under the age of 30 are selected to compete for the title of Youth Star 2025.​​

 

MUSIC FEST SENT LISI 2025 will take place on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20 2025, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Philip Marcellin Grounds, Vieux-Fort.
